Alexis Febres is a Varsity starter for the Jefferson Falcons Field Hockey team. Coming from being conference champions from the prior season, the girls have expectations to meet. The field hockey team has their first game against Kitattiny at their field. Giving the other team the advantage. “... as seniors, we have all played four years together which has allowed us to become stronger and work together better.” This will help the girls in the fight for another conference win.

The game against Kittatinny is a “win or lose,” both teams are equally matched so not sure how the game will go. Kittatinny will be playing on grass to their advantage, but Jefferson's team is more skilled.  Febres is confident that the girls will persevere because the team has been working so hard.

Although the girls have many strengths, they have weaknesses as well with the way they play. “If our heads aren't in the game, it could go south for us,” Febres stated. The girls need to really focus and give the game their all, they are trying not to let minor mistakes get in their heads.

Being a part of the JTHS Field Hockey team, it has allowed Febres to make great memories, as well as learn life skills and responsibilities that she may need in the future. The coaches are a big part of that, as they see the individuality and good in each of their players. From their Conference win last year, the girls still have a lot to work on and fill the holes of the starting Seniors last year, who had a big impact on the team. The girls continue to work hard in practice everyday to make these goals happen.
